Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant Position

We are seeking a compassionate Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team at BAYADA Home Health Care. As a PTA, you will use your clinical skills and heart to treat patients where they want to be – in the comfort of their own home.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (estimated), depending on experience and location. We offer flexible schedules for work/life balance, including full-time, part-time, and per-diem positions. Scheduling is primarily during daytime hours.
About the Role- As a Jefferson Health at Home by BAYADA Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll see clients through their care needs – from hospital discharge to living a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity.
- You will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing by providing treatment, tests, client education, and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy care plan, and participate with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
Requirements
- Have current licensure or certification in the state of New Jersey.
- Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
- Have two years of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
- Have at least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.
- A calm and reassuring presence, active listening skills, excellent assessment skills, and strong written and verbal communication.
- The ability to deliver patient care as you would want those you love to be treated, with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
