Division Secretary of Human Studies

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to provide administrative support to the faculty in the Division of Human Studies.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative assistance to faculty members, including preparing documents, scheduling appointments, and maintaining division files. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to faculty members, including preparing documents, scheduling appointments, and maintaining division files.
- Assist with the organization and coordination of division events, including conferences and workshops.
- Collect and distribute mail, and maintain a safe and organized working environment.
- Provide support to the Division Chair, including updating and tracking expenditures and overall budget.
- Collect contact information from program graduates, conduct annual outreach to program alumni, and share updates with faculty, alumni, students, staff, and the Dean's Office.
- High school diploma required; associate degree in secretarial science or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience working in an office environment as a secretary or administrative assistant.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, as well as familiar with or able to learn how to use university-specific software (e.g. Cascade, Canvas, Degree Works, Banner, BannerWeb).
- Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
