Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team at GK Management Co., Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the overall appearance and maintenance needs of the community.
  • Coordinate make-readies and move-in/move-out schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of all repairs.
  • Perform general maintenance repairs, conduct preventative maintenance, and oversee the construction/rehabilitation needs of the apartment community.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to achieve occupancy goals and assist in resident retention by providing a quality living experience for residents.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to GK standards and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, visitors, and residents to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in safety meetings and perform all work duties in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company safety policies.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance or a related industry.
  • Previous multifamily property experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize, and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA.
  • Previous experience in work order management software and MS Office products is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements

This role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds with assistance.
