Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons during procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Preoperative and Postoperative Duties: Facilitate patient care by performing preoperative and postoperative duties, including verifying patient identity and operative sites.
- Operative Support: Assist surgeons during procedures by performing tasks such as tissue retraction, intravenous lines, and documentation.
- Aseptic Technique: Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Equipment Management: Determine availability of necessary equipment and supplies for operative procedures.
- Documentation: Complete patient clinical narratives and obtain dental radiographs and imaging.
- Licensure: Licensed TN Dental Assistant required.
- Certifications: BLS certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire. DAANCE certification preferred.
- Experience: At least one year of related experience required.
- Education: Licensed dental assistant preferred.
- Certifications: Radiology certification preferred.
