Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preoperative and Postoperative Duties: Facilitate patient care by performing preoperative and postoperative duties, including verifying patient identity and operative sites.
  • Operative Support: Assist surgeons during procedures by performing tasks such as tissue retraction, intravenous lines, and documentation.
  • Aseptic Technique: Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Equipment Management: Determine availability of necessary equipment and supplies for operative procedures.
  • Documentation: Complete patient clinical narratives and obtain dental radiographs and imaging.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Licensed TN Dental Assistant required.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire. DAANCE certification preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Licensed dental assistant preferred.
  • Certifications: Radiology certification preferred.
