LISC Los Angeles is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our community development and lending efforts. Key Responsibilities- Community Development and Lending: Develop and implement strategies to strengthen communities through effective lending, technical assistance, and project management.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of underwriters, housing program officers, and business development specialists to build loan pipelines for LISC LA's housing and small business lending programs.
- Transaction Management: Screen and structure transactions, evaluate credit risk, and manage due diligence as part of the underwriting process.
- Policy and Advocacy: Collaborate with other senior LISC staff to identify and secure capital resources from within and outside LISC, including philanthropic contributions and public subsidies.
- Special Projects: Lead other special projects and duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required or commensurate experience. Advanced degree in business, finance, public administration, or related field a plus.
- Experience: At least five (5) years of community development lending experience, and a demonstrated capacity to structure complex real estate development transactions.
- Management Experience: Strong management skills and at least two years of management experience.
- Skills: Highly detailed oriented, ability to produce high-quality work products under deadlines, strong project management skills, high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and financial statement analysis.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong public speaking skills.
- Commitment: Commitment to LISC's Housing mission in the County of Los Angeles and across the state of California.
- Salary: Competitive salary of $127,500 - $159,400 commensurate with experience and location.
