Job Summary

The Control Systems Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems for Avangrid's Energy Control Centers. This includes developing technical specifications, functional requirements, and project implementation oversight for control center system applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement control systems for Avangrid's Energy Control Centers
  • Develop technical specifications, functional requirements, and project implementation oversight for control center system applications
  • Liaise with teams to apply local and global practices
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise for Energy Control Center projects
  • Active participation in project life cycles, from technical specifications to project deployment and maintenance
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or a related field required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Equivalent work experience may be substituted
  • Working knowledge of SCADA technology, electric applications, and electric operations
  • Good knowledge of computer applications
  • GIS systems
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies
  • Experience in projects dealing with people and responsibilities from different countries
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in building technical specifications and business processes procedures
  • Experience and proactive mind and capacity to lead discussions with managers and senior technicians within the organization to meet priorities and resolve issues
  • Familiarity with software repository programs
