Job Title: Wholesale Parts Inventory Control Associate

As a Wholesale Parts Inventory Control Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper control of our parts inventory and related administrative functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Receives and records new parts inventory, maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Stocks items by unpacking, arranging, and placing them in bins and on shelves, adjusting the inventory system as needed.
  • Receives returned items by inspecting them, re-packing and re-shelving them, and returning damaged and unused parts to the supplier.
  • Maintains a safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures, complying with codes and regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, such as reading about new products and technologies.
  • Assists the Parts Manager in processing weekly stock orders and placing daily parts orders.
  • Ensures that credits are received for returned parts and removes them from inventory after credits are received.
  • Provides necessary information to the Warranty Department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.
  • Matches purchase orders and invoices, approves, and forwards them to the accounting office.
  • Files company copies of parts counter invoices.
  • Assists in preparing for annual parts inventory.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • One year of experience in a dealership position (preferred).
  • Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
  • Ability to use parts department computer system and calculator.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
