Commercial Parts Specialist

As a Commercial Parts Pro at Advanced Auto Parts, you will play a key role in driving profitable growth of our commercial business through customer retention and acquisition. You will partner with our General Manager to manage Team Members and provide expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts. Your ability to source from multiple places, including special order, FDO, and second source, will be essential in meeting customer needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for dispatching drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintain strong relationships with commercial customers to ensure their needs are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service by offering GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers.
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
- Provide day-to-day supervisory support to Team Members.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to coach and develop Team Members.
- Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are met.
- Maintain commercial stocking programs.
- Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers.
- Maintain core bank and commercial returns.
- Maintain commercial credit accounts.
- Partner with the General Manager to ensure proper driver coverage.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge and skills.
- Operating POS and Parts lookup systems.
- ASE P2 certification or equivalent.
- Ability to source from multiple places.
- Advanced selling skills for commercial customers.
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
- Effective communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability.
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
- Use basic math accurately.
- Use Microsoft software effectively.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understand Commercial profitability concepts.
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- A minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred.
- Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions.
- Formal or informal experience leading teams, including supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsASE certification preferred, but not required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
