Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Dean and Program Manager to join our team at the Naval War College-at-Naval Postgraduate School. The successful candidate will provide leadership for academic and administrative operations, ensuring the JPME Phase I Program meets the standards of the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for academic and administrative operations
  • Supervise and evaluate faculty members and administrative staff
  • Assign faculty to seminars and prioritize non-teaching developmental quarters
  • Conduct classroom teaching evaluations and maintain professionalism in their field of expertise
  • Liaise with NPS leadership to support academic and administrative program requirements
  • Ensure classroom availability and suitability, and provision and functionality of classroom and office equipment
  • Oversee student registration, performance, grading, and graduation ceremonies
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Security Studies, International Relations, History, Political Science, or related fields, or an Ed.D. in Education Management, Education Technology, or related fields
  • Experience managing large academic programs and leading a diverse group of faculty and staff
  • Knowledge of curriculum development techniques and advanced distributed learning methods/emerging education technologies
  • Familiarization with accreditation processes and competence in internet-based instruction
  • Understanding of the mission the NWC accomplishes for the Navy and the Department of Defense
