About Our Retail Team

As a Sales Associate/Material Handler, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers and donors promptly and courteously, assisting them with their needs.
  • Stocking priced items on the sales floor, ensuring merchandise is readily available for customers.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment. This includes performing assigned cleaning duties and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Handling point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately and efficiently, following TSA policies and procedures.
  • Receiving, unloading, and stocking incoming inventory items with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspecting products for defects and damages, ensuring quality assurance.
  • Assisting donors by removing donated items from their vehicles and providing receipts.
  • Sorting and separating donated materials into designated containers, following management instructions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to accurately operate POS systems and handle cash transactions.
  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal history and sex offender registry checks.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist frequently or continuously.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, merchandise carts, rolling racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
