This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities in geotechnical engineering, supporting infrastructure, transportation, and heavy industrial projects. Key tasks may include calculations, field investigations, coordination of activities, client engagement, and various civil engineering assignments.

Fieldwork related to geotechnical explorations and construction activities may also be part of your duties.

  • Conduct and/or lead field investigations, perform engineering analyses, calculations, and develop recommendations, along with designing and drafting plans and specifications. Ensure thorough observation and inspection, as well as the preparation and review of related reports.
  • Examine drawings and construction processes to ensure adherence to established plans and specifications.
  • Prepare project proposals and cost estimates, monitor project progress, budgets, and suggest necessary modifications.
  • Investigate and resolve design and construction challenges.
  • Assign, review, and assess laboratory or field data for report inclusion.
  • Utilize sound engineering principles and effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a senior engineering professional, providing the technical direction necessary for the successful completion of both routine and complex projects.
  • Responsible for conceptualizing initial designs and investigative approaches for significant phases of large projects or overseeing engineering work on moderately scoped projects.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering tasks, incorporating conventional practices while addressing various complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
  • Review projects that necessitate innovative investigation techniques and supervise the analysis and formulation of recommendations in written reports for clients; provide technical review of these reports.
  • Lead technical training initiatives and make informed decisions based on cutting-edge technology trends.
  • Drive marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
  • Oversee and mentor less experienced engineers or technical support staff on projects.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  2. 15 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
  3. Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
Physical Requirements:
  1. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  2. Ability to operate a computer and sit for extended periods.
  3. Possession of a valid driver's license.
