Job Summary

Monroe Golf Club is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the execution of private and club events, while also supporting a la carte/member areas of the club as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that stations and pre-meal side work are ready for service.
  • Actively supervise and execute private events and member functions from set up to breakdown.
  • Be well-versed in all menus, both food and beverage, private events, and a la carte.
  • Train staff to the standards set forth in the MGC service training manual.
  • Hold employees accountable to the policies and procedures set forth in the MGC service training manual and MGC employee handbook.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management at all times.
  • Practice MGC service etiquette and protocols as outlined in the MGC server training manual.
  • Continually check with tables/members/clients to ensure Member/Guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as necessary.
  • Responsible for POS operations and maintenance.
  • Ensure proper POS closing procedures are followed while acting as MOD.
  • Keep tables, chairs, dining areas, prep areas, and service stations clean at all times.
  • Advise management of any member complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Assign task lists, i.e., re-setting dining room, re-stock service station, clean up and closing duties, and confirm they are complete.
  • Complete server report/end of night reports and submit to accounting as appropriate while acting MOD.
  • Ensure that staff adheres to standard uniform policy as outlined in MGC server training manual.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work each shift in adherence to the needs of the club.
  • Ensure that FOH staff works clean and efficiently in all areas of clubhouse, including shared kitchen spaces.
  • Fulfill any and all tasks assigned by the Executive Chef/Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Provide a warm welcome, magic moment, and fond farewell to each member and guest of MGC.
  • Work to execute the vision of continued growth as outlined by the Executive Chef/Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Work under the direction of the Private Event Manager and A la Carte F&B Manager to ensure a smooth FOH operation.
Requirements
  • Able to communicate clearly to the members, guests, and staff of Monroe Golf Club.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs, reach, bend, and stoop.
  • Able to work well in stressful situations.
  • Able to work as a team.
  • Able to follow directive.
