Food & Beverage Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at DelMonte Hotel Group. As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage departments, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of associates to achieve our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the supervision of associates in the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring they are trained and equipped to provide excellent service to our guests.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Managers in directing, training, and mentoring all restaurant, room service, and lounge associates.
  • Perform job duties of host/hostess, servers, server assistants, bartenders, and barbacks as needed.
  • Assign duties and shifts to associates and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
  • Ensure all sidework is completed daily in accordance with checklists.
  • Open and close shifts, making cash drops as necessary, and ensuring proper cash control procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all brand standards are followed, including food sanitation and proper food handling standards.
  • Assist in ensuring effective departmental communication through logs, daily stand-up meetings, and monthly department meetings.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies, processing guest billing issues, and handling accounting and purchasing functions.
  • Provide information to guests regarding hours and available services of the hotel, including the restaurant, lounge, and room service.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant, lounge, and surrounding areas.
Requirements:
  • One to three years' experience in a food and beverage supervisory role, with an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
