Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Kingston Healthcare. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the upkeep of our facilities and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and inspections of facility equipment and systems.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment by performing general maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in coordinating with external vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to facility maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
