About the Position

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our Service Team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of customer- and company-owned equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer locations to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including sales teams, coordinators, managers, and customers, regarding equipment downtime and job progress updates.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing efficiency and safety while minimizing equipment downtime.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year mechanical training or experience in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain a complete line of tools, including specialized tools required for the job.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

This position requires frequent travel to customer locations, working in various weather conditions, and exposure to potential hazards. The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds. The role also requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting on a daily basis.
