We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technologist to join our team at the Community Service Board of Middle Georgia - PEO, Ltd. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our consumers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Transport consumers as needed and complete daily documentation, including observation sheets and meal sheets.
- Conduct 30-minute security checks and physician-ordered special precaution checks.
- Lead groups as scheduled and chart group activities in Netsmart and the group book.
- Obtain vital signs at designated times and chart them in Netsmart, reporting any abnormal readings to nursing staff.
- Assist with new admissions, including taking vital signs, conducting clothing inventories, and completing admission paperwork.
- Support discharges by inventorying belongings, ensuring all personal items are accounted for, and completing discharge paperwork.
- Strip consumer beds on the day of discharge, sanitize mattresses and pillows, and make up beds.
- Serve meals and chart food consumption percentages.
- Restock and organize supplies in the kitchen pantry.
- Document water, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures in the kitchen and bathrooms.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including bathrooms, kitchens, and rooms.
- Assist consumers with washing and drying their clothing items.
- Verify that all documents and inventory are labeled with each consumer's label.
- Report to work on time and remain until relief arrives, providing a smooth handover.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections and complete documentation.
- Report to supervisors when items require reordering.
- Clean transport containers and vans daily.
- Participate in scheduled safety drills and complete documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by administrative and nursing staff.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent document.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License, preferably 20-21 years of age to drive company vehicles.
- Pass a drug screen and national background check.
We offer a 40-hour work week with a day shift from 6am-6pm and a night shift from 6pm-6am, alternating weekends and 24/7 schedule, including holidays.
