Medical Technologist Assistant

At the Community Service Board of Middle Georgia, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, innovative behavioral healthcare services in a recovery-based environment. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Technologist to join our team.
Job Summary:The Medical Technologist will be responsible for providing direct care to consumers, including transportation, vital sign monitoring, and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport consumers as needed and complete daily documentation
- Conduct 30-minute security checks and physician-ordered special precaution checks
- Conduct groups as scheduled and chart in Netsmart and the group book
- Obtain vital signs at designated times and chart in Netsmart
- Report abnormal vital signs to nursing staff
- Assist with new admissions, including taking vital signs, completing admission paperwork, and inventorying belongings
- Assist with discharges, including inventorying belongings, ensuring personal items are stored properly, and completing discharge paperwork
- Serve meals, chart food consumption, and clean the kitchen area after each meal
- Restock and organize supplies in the kitchen pantry
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including straightening bathrooms, cleaning consumer bathrooms, and sweeping and mopping the laundry room and dirty linen room
- Remove dirty linen from bathrooms and consumer rooms
- Assist consumers with washing and drying their clothing items
- Check documents and inventory for proper labeling and completion
- Report to work on time and remain until relief has arrived
- Conduct monthly safety inspections and complete documentation
- Report to supervisor when items require reordering
- Clean transport containers and vans daily
- Clean refrigerators daily and check for expired items
- Perform other duties as assigned by administrative and nursing staff
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Georgia Driver's License, preferably 20-21 years of age to drive company vehicles
- Pass a drug screen and national background check
We offer a 40-hour work week with a day shift of 6am-6pm and a night shift of 6pm-6am, alternating weekends and 24/7 schedule, including holidays.
