  • Assess patient eyewear needs and provide education on available options.
  • Fit, troubleshoot, and adjust eyewear as necessary.
  • Assist patients in selecting stylish eyewear options.
  • Promote sales of eyewear, contact lenses, and related products.
  • Engage in ongoing education related to products and sales techniques.
  • Support the Office Manager in training optical staff.
  • Assist in scheduling for the optical department.
  • Supervise the efficient operation of in-office finishing processes.
  • Ensure high standards of optical sales and service are maintained.
  • Help manage inventory levels and procedural compliance.
  • Maintain the visual appeal and cleanliness of the dispensary.
  • Assist in upholding accurate insurance fee schedules.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Basic clerical skills and familiarity with retail computer systems.
  • Proficient in Electronic Medical Records.
  • Experience in sales and optical dispensing.
  • Understanding of insurance benefits and claims processes.
  • ABO certification is preferred but not mandatory.
