Job Summary
The Mutual Fund Accountant Consultant is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of mutual fund trading calculations. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and verify calculations of dividends, commissions, and other fees associated with mutual fund trading.
- Develop and implement processes to ensure accurate and timely calculation of 12b-1 fees for various mutual fund transactions.
- Utilize advanced financial modeling and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex calculation issues.
- Work closely with engineers to test and validate the accuracy of calculation results using simulators developed by Hamsa.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in financial institutions back-office accounting with a focus on mutual fund post-trade reconciliation, dividend accruals, and commission fee calculations.
- Proven expertise in performing complex financial calculations, particularly dividends, commission, and 12b-1 fees.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
