Job Overview

This role involves operating and maintaining equipment essential for the efficient functioning of an aggregate production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and the facility to ensure optimal and compliant operations, enhancing productivity while minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records related to safety protocols, production metrics, and maintenance activities.
  • Operate a variety of heavy machinery, including loaders, haul trucks, and water trucks.
  • Engage in maintenance tasks such as screen replacements, conveyor belt adjustments, and crusher line modifications, including cutting, grinding, and welding as necessary.
  • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED.

Essential Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Familiarity with aggregate materials such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone.
  • Experience with various types of aggregate processing equipment, including crushers, wash plants, and conveyors.
  • Understanding of production processes and materials handling in the aggregate industry.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical capabilities: ability to use hand tools, work in various weather conditions, and lift/move up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly lift 75 lbs. and occasionally lift 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Current MSHA training certification is preferred.
  • Experience in welding and cutting is advantageous.
Employment Conditions

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screening, and a background check. Some positions may necessitate ongoing drug and alcohol testing as per FMCSA regulations.
