Job Summary

We are seeking a personable and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplined design team in Knoxville, TN. The successful candidate will assist in Healthcare and Commercial projects, working with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, studies, permits, and designs for assigned projects.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Capable of increasing technical competency when seeking and executing work in new and evolving market sectors.
  • Receive project assignments from Project Managers and Team Leader and accept direction and supervision and follow and accept work rules and procedures.
  • Participate in preparing proposals and presentations to clients.
  • Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, studies, permits, and designs for project.
  • Visit construction site to monitor progress and other duties per contract documents.
  • Check all technical work for accuracy.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of an experienced team.
  • Recognize problems quickly and seek advice from Team Leader or Senior Engineer.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
  • P.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience and detailed understanding of Revit is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of design/engineering consulting experience.
