Job Overview

This position is essential for maintaining safety and order within the correctional facility. Responsibilities include processing and managing individuals in custody, conducting necessary tests, and ensuring the security of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Booking, fingerprinting, and photographing individuals under arrest.
  • Conducting breathalyzer tests and other assessments.
  • Supervising and providing for the needs of inmates, including meal preparation and distribution.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness of the facility.
  • Preparing daily activity reports and conducting regular inspections of the premises.
  • Handling financial transactions related to bonds and fines.
  • Attending court proceedings as required.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class C Texas driver's license, and a clean driving record. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and will undergo a thorough background check, including a polygraph and psychological evaluation.

Compensation:
Effective 1/7/24: Pay Grade GG14 / Full Pay Range $30.02 per hour.
