RESPONSIBILITIES

Weatherford is seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician for our manufacturing facility. Under general supervision, this role involves performing electro/mechanical assembly of moderate complexity in accordance with established procedures and work instructions. This position is hands-on and rewarding, set in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand and adhere to Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Process and Quality Policy, complying with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
  • Assemble and test completions equipment according to engineered drawings or as directed by others.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tapes, gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Inspect finished components for accuracy and functionality.
  • Conduct hydrostatic tests on components as required.
  • Handle materials appropriately.
  • Maintain company-supplied tools and keep an organized work area.
  • Assist in developing new procedures and enhancing existing ones.
  • Utilize the PIRF System.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Execute work assignments to the highest quality standards.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 years of electrical/mechanical experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Proficient in reading assembly layouts and manufacturing prints.
  • Capable of reading measuring tools such as tapes, micrometers, calipers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (overhead cranes, forklifts).
  • General knowledge of assembly procedures.
  • Effective team member capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of wiring schematics.
  • Soldering experience is required.
  • Experience with downhole tools is preferred.
