Job Summary

At MV Transportation, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to assigned operating locations, ensuring the delivery of annual business plans and controlling daily operations in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage all call center functions to provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through direct contact and outreach programs.
  • Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with location staff and support team members to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Assist in overseeing safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive safety culture within the division.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Assist with conducting periodic departmental audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review key operational metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Participate in location labor and employee relations activities to ensure a positive and productive work environment.


Requirements

  • Must have one to three years of management experience in a similar sized paratransit environment.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in scheduling and personnel management, as well as training.
  • Must be able to work independently and have strong written and verbal skills.
  • Knowledge of contractual obligations is essential to perform this job correctly.
  • Knowledge of company policy is necessary to ensure consistent measures are used to assess driver activity.
  • Trapeze experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing fast-paced environments is essential.
