Mission Foods Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Hayward, CA facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supervising leads and mechanics in their daily activities, ensuring that all production equipment is properly maintained and operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel to ensure that all production equipment is properly maintained and operates safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and participate in safety committees to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Train and develop maintenance personnel to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA and local health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing plant required.
  • Bakery or food/beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity or 4 years as a lead in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and have good electrical skills on power and control.
  • Proficiency in electrical and PLC troubleshooting/programming.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal electric codes.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Team supervision/leadership/development/training skills.
  • Multicultural approach to operating in a diverse business environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work night shift required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Benefits:
  • Salary range: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually plus $3k bonus.
