About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Commonwealth Dentistry. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during various treatment procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Conduct patient interviews to gather medical history and vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse.
  • Implement infection control protocols, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment.
  • Provide patients with personalized care and support before, during, and after treatment.
  • Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques, including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
  • Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
  • Support direct patient care in various dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery.
  • Complete instrument cleaning and sterilization, as well as post-op sanitization of treatment rooms.
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatments.
  • Maintain accurate dental charting.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in dental assisting.
  • X-Ray Certification.
