Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care and ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology, such as the iTero 3D scanner and digital photography.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures, adhering to the state dental practice act.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, as well as place and expedite orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Requirements
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
  • Dental assisting school certification.

Please note that the position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions, and regular HIPAA training will be required. The individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.
