About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our clinical team at Konikoff Dentistry-Cedar Road in Chesapeake, VA. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for care.
  • Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests.
  • Assist with instrumentation, materials, and diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances.
  • Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Requirements
  • X-ray license
  • 1+ years of experience working as a Dental Assistant
