The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to foster positive relationships with individuals and staff. A strong understanding of nursing standards, Massachusetts LPN license requirements, and Department of Public Health Medication Administration Program (MAP) policies is essential.

This is a part-time position working every other Saturday and Sunday from 3:00pm-11:00pm. The estimated salary range for this role is $62,000 - $72,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct specialized nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Document healthcare services according to state regulations, nursing standards, and Massachusetts LPN license requirements
  • Act as a liaison with community agencies and treatment providers regarding regular medical needs and care
  • Maintain knowledge of MAP policies and procedures
  • Administer medications to assigned individuals following MAP policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited and approved licensed practical nurse program
  • Current Massachusetts Nursing license
  • Two years of general nursing experience and/or service to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community health setting is preferred
  • Ability to drive a 12-passenger van with a good driving record history
