Per Diem CT Imaging Specialist Opportunity

Company: Nuvance Health

Compensation: $50.00 per hour

Availability: Flexible coverage needed Monday through Saturday for 8-hour Day Shifts.

Position Overview:
As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will deliver exceptional patient care while employing advanced imaging techniques. Your role is crucial in ensuring high-quality imaging results and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure while performing scans.
2. Accurately identify patients and provide clear explanations of procedures.
3. Ensure all necessary pre-procedural checks, including bloodwork and pregnancy status, are completed.
4. Administer oral contrast and monitor patient comfort throughout the imaging process.
5. Operate CT equipment proficiently, following established protocols for optimal imaging.
6. Communicate effectively with patients and staff regarding any delays or changes in schedule.
7. Review and document imaging results, ensuring all necessary information is recorded accurately.
8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CT imaging, preferably with GE equipment.
- Proficient in using PACS and RIS systems.

Work Schedule:
As needed on Monday - Saturday, with shifts between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
