Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health team at WMCHealth in Kingston, New York. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Psychiatry and a minimum of two years of experience. A New York State License is required. This is an employed position in our academic physician group with comprehensive benefits, CME, and malpractice coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose individuals presenting with a broad range of psychiatric disorders in emergency, medical-surgical, and outpatient settings.
  • Provide education and review medication regimens to initiate medication and psychotherapeutic intervention as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Psychiatrist and multidisciplinary treatment team to conduct psychiatric and substance use disorder evaluations and determine appropriate level of care decisions.
  • Participate in clinical updates, health monitoring, smoking cessation, and crisis intervention as required by regulations.
