The ideal candidate will be Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Psychiatry and a minimum of two years of experience. A New York State License is required. This is an employed position in our academic physician group with comprehensive benefits, CME, and malpractice coverage. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with a range of psychiatric disorders in emergency, medical-surgical, and outpatient settings. The incumbent will provide education, review medication regimens, and initiate treatment as needed. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Psychiatrist and multidisciplinary treatment team to conduct evaluations and determine level of care decisions. Additionally, they will participate in clinical updates, health monitoring, smoking cessation, and crisis intervention as required.
