About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Vidant Health. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert care to patients with cancer, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based interventions that improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert consultation and educational services to healthcare providers, patients, and families on cancer care and treatment options.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes, including the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement cost-effective interventions and assess and evaluate outcomes.
  • Advocate for and advance nursing practice through the application of evidence-based interventions and the promotion of safe patient care.
  • Lead and participate in research opportunities and the enhanced utilization of evidence-based practice to advance the science of nursing practice.

Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist Concentration required.
  • Doctorate of Nursing Practice with CNS concentration preferred.
  • Current certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from a national credentialing body approved by the NC Board of Nursing.
  • More than 4 years as a Registered Nurse required.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certified.
