Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our facilities. This role involves performing janitorial tasks under direct supervision to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough cleaning of facilities, adhering to established health and safety protocols.
  2. Perform daily inspections of the premises to ensure sanitation and cleanliness.
  3. Assist in the inventory and stocking of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  4. Maintain accurate records of supplies and ensure proper storage in line with housekeeping standards.
  5. Manage the use and control of chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
  6. Promote a safe working environment through ongoing safety training and awareness.
  7. Oversee and train detainee maintenance staff in cleaning procedures.
  8. Execute minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
  9. Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping and waste removal.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Availability for shift work.
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation.
  • Preferred experience with industrial cleaning equipment and janitorial practices.
  • Good physical condition is essential for this role.
