Bakery Department Manager

As a Bakery Department Manager, you'll play a key role in creating a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Your goal will be to achieve sales and profit goals established for the department, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead by Example: Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
- Team Collaboration: Promote trust and respect among associates, communicate company, department, and job-specific information, and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
- Performance Management: Establish performance goals for the department, train and develop associates, and participate in the performance appraisal process.
- Customer Focus: Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated, and inform customers of bakery specials and recommend bakery items.
- Inventory Management: Plan, organize, and supervise the inventory process, and monitor and control expenses for the department.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, and reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills and ability to manage inventory and expenses.
- Food Safety Certification: Current food handlers permit once employed.
- Education: High school education or equivalent.
- Management Experience: Previous management experience in a retail or food service environment.
- Bakery Experience: Previous experience in a bakery or related field.
