We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our supply chain efforts and drive innovation in our Business Area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and improving our supply base to support Sierra Space programs.
Key responsibilities include establishing priorities to maintain production schedules, coordinating with executive management and other department managers to ensure material, planning, and production objectives are supported, and preparing capital, contract equipment, and facility requests based on program and company demands.
You will also lead supply chain innovation and efficiency throughout the Business Area by partnering with departments to support the company's vision. Additionally, you will drive innovation by maximizing the capabilities of current procurement management systems and seeking out new advancements in technology and process.
As a Procurement Manager, you will ensure meaningful supply chain KPIs are set, measured, and communicated across the organization to drive visibility on goals. You will also provide leadership to direct reports, including responsibility for your department's performance, and lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.
About YouWe are looking for a dreamer who aligns with our values, vision, and audacious goals. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, or a related discipline, and typically six (6) years or more of relevant experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
The candidate must have in-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category, and Sourcing Management, background in manufacturing timelines and requirements, ability to read and understand technical requirements, and excellent negotiation skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
Working ConditionsThe selected candidate will be required to frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps, and rarely lift or carry up to 20 lbs. The role will also require occasional exposure to outdoor elements, fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials, and loud noises.
