Job Title: Electronics Design/Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design/Project Engineer to join our team at Technipower. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electronics and testing equipment for leak detection of underground storage tanks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and support leak detection methods for storage tank systems
  • Manage production of new equipment, working with vendors and fabricators as necessary
  • Redesign or upgrade existing lines of equipment from older technologies to more current technologies
  • Implement and manage calibration processes for equipment
  • Evaluate failure rates of high maintenance parts and develop solutions or replacement parts
Requirements:
  • BSEE or similar degree required
  • 5-10 years of related experience using applicable skills is preferred
  • Experience with PCB design & layout, as well as firmware development is required
  • Experience working with electro-mechanical systems and AC/DC circuitry
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, specifically correlating with underground storage tanks such as pressure/vacuum, level, temperature, acoustic/ultrasonic, and video
  • Experience with hazardous location equipment and design protocols such as intrinsic safety, explosion-proof, and purged/inerted
  • Experience with UL/ATEX or other safety certification processes
  • Experience with intellectual property and patent applications
