Job Title: Senior Analog Power Engineer

Join Raytheon's Effector Power and Analog Design (EPAD) Team as a Senior Analog Power Engineer and contribute to the development of robust power systems. Our team is responsible for designing, analyzing, simulating, testing, and documenting power conversion circuitry, with a focus on board-mounted power end-use applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze power conversion circuitry, including non-isolated and isolated switch mode power converters and linear converters.
  • Assist in architecting circuit card level designs.
  • Collaborate with ECAD drafters to develop and refine circuit card layouts and routing.
  • Drive project schedules and define tasking for circuit level development.
  • Present work products to functional and program leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced STEM degree.
  • Experience with design, analysis, test, and/or simulation of non-isolated converter topologies, such as buck, boost, and buck-boost.
  • Proficiency in tools like MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of analog electronics design, including FETs/BJTs, op-amps, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Self-starter with good time management skills and ability to function in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.
  • Familiarity with wide bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) in power electronics designs, or experience with simulators like SIMPLIS or SABER.
