Gecko Hospitality is seeking a skilled Chief Financial Officer to drive financial success in its premier hotel. This exciting role will appeal to professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to producing high-quality work.

The successful candidate will support the General Manager and department heads with accurate, timely, and relevant financial data, enhancing management effectiveness across departments.

Accounting Responsibilities:
  • Batching invoices within 48 hours of receipt in the MIS system.
  • Sending required reporting to the corporate office according to schedule.
  • Invoices batched and sent every Tuesday and Friday.
  • Maintaining an organized filing system for direct bill accounts.
  • Preparing financial analysis through the MIS System.
  • Maintaining files of contracts, insurance policies, tax reports, expenses, payroll, and accounts receivable documentation.
  • Handling workers' compensation and liabilities claims, maintaining updated files as required.
  • Advising management on insurance claims, workers' compensation, and insurance coverage updates for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
  • Compiling and sorting documents substantiating business transactions.
  • Responding to vendor and partner requests in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of progressive experience in hotel accounting.
  • A four-year university program certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently using good judgment and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion regarding confidential information.
