Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Radio Systems Technician Trainee to become a vital part of our organization. In this role, you will engage in the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of two-way radio communication systems. Your contributions will be essential in providing dependable communication solutions for our clients in various sectors, including public safety and professional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, set up, and maintain radio communication systems, encompassing both hardware and software components.
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on radio systems to guarantee peak performance.
  • Install and configure Motorola Astro radio systems effectively.
  • Perform installations of radio equipment in various vehicles at customer sites and within the workshop.
  • Execute routine maintenance and repairs to uphold system reliability.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their communication requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Offer technical support and training to end-users.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and system configurations.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in Motorola radio technology and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with two-way radio systems.
  • Understanding of radio frequency principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Motorola Solutions certifications) are advantageous, particularly Astro Certification.
  • Good grasp of networking concepts.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Willingness to embrace the dynamic nature of the role.
  • Ability to pass a DOT Drug test and physical examination.
  • Capability to lift heavy equipment and utilize hand tools.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Valid driver's license.
