Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our team at Modern Group Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including forklifts, construction equipment, and cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including forklifts, construction equipment, and cranes.
  • Order and obtain parts as needed, communicating with the Parts Department on the status of parts on order.
  • Inform customers and service management of parts on order status and job status.
  • Utilize online manuals and seek assistance if a problem arises at a customer site.
  • Inform service management of any incoming shop jobs.
  • Strive for optimum billing of labor hours each day.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the interior and exterior of company service vans.
  • Participate in devising and completing one's own training plan and obligations to Modern Group Ltd.
  • Notify service management of any vehicle repairs and inspection needs.
  • Obtain proper authorization from customers for overtime billing and approval from service management for alterations to normal start/quit times.
  • Complete electronic time sheets at the end of each work day and submit via email.

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Operate a motor vehicle.
