Overview

The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of guest accommodations, ensuring a pleasant experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in hotel rooms to provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Organize and manage the cleaning cart with necessary supplies to optimize the efficiency of room cleaning tasks.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in guest rooms and common areas.
  • Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures, and wall decorations to maintain a pristine appearance.
  • Ensure restrooms are hygienic by washing shower walls, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and walls.
  • Replace towels, soaps, and all room amenities, while restocking literature for incoming guests.
  • Strip beds of used linens and remake them with fresh bedding to ensure guest comfort.
  • Clean and restock closet spaces, including doors, handles, and shelves.
  • Inspect door and window locks for functionality, reporting any security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document and report any maintenance issues or deficiencies observed in guest rooms to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Handle lost and found items promptly, submitting them to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Be available to work during nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Strong guest service skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or cleaning roles is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning principles, products, and equipment operation is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills with guests, colleagues, and supervisors are required.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

Must obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license as mandated by the relevant authorities.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position requires the ability to receive detailed information through verbal and written communication. The role involves walking, bending, crouching, and stretching for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours. Candidates must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and manage carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds. The job entails various physical activities, including standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and visual tasks. This is a continuous operation, requiring availability 24/7.
