Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the Emergency Department. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services and collaborate with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse diploma.
