Construction Quality Assurance Manager

Keller Brothers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee and maintain the highest standards of quality in our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing comprehensive quality control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver excellence in construction quality.
This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction quality control management.
The Construction Quality Control Manager will be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining clear lines of authority and supervision throughout the site construction program.
- Implementing a thorough submittal review and documentation system.
- Ensuring all testing is completed and documented as required by the project specifications.
- Implementing a strict Three Phase inspection control system for all construction activities.
- Notifying Project Management Staff of quality discrepancies for immediate corrective action.
- Managing and directing the day-to-day functions and operations of the project CQC Plan.
- Serving as the primary point of contact with MCPS staff for all matters relating to project quality and the quality control program.
- Supervising the activities and inspections of QC Inspectors, Specialists, and Testing Agency personnel.
- Coordinating the activities of laboratories and testing agencies per specifications.
- Identifying non-conforming work and providing recommendations for corrections or removal of such non-conforming work.
- Preparing QCR reports as required by the contract and submitting them to MCPS as required.
- Preparing other reports and correspondence relating to the administration of the Quality Control Program.
- Implementing and executing the policies and procedures contained in the project CQC Plan.
- Ensuring all subcontractors and suppliers fully comply with all aspects of the project CQC Plan.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction quality control management.
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors Course Certification.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and documentation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environmental Factors:
The Construction Quality Control Manager will be required to work safely in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. The employee must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, and kneel for periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must have manual dexterity, good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
