Job Description
The Security Officer will perform various duties to assist University Police in maintaining security of the buildings, parking lots, garages, and surrounding areas of the LSU Health - New Orleans campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrols an assigned area to ensure the security and safety of the campus.
- Checks the security of buildings and grounds to prevent any potential threats.
- Monitors alarm panels and cameras for disturbances and responds accordingly.
- Receives and transmits messages over a two-way radio to ensure effective communication.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security and law enforcement, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The Security Officer will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
