About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Professional to join our team at Lil Paw Shop Veterinary Clinic. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working with animals and want to make a difference in their lives.

Responsibilities

As an Animal Care Professional, you will assist our doctors in exams, prepare vaccines, restrain animals for lab work and treatments, perform treatments for outpatient appointments, and triage emergency cases.

You will also express anal glands and perform nail trims, venipuncture for blood work, process samples to send out for lab work, operate in-house lab equipment, set up and perform radiographs, and administer subcutaneous fluids and injections.

Additionally, you will provide excellent client communication and basic GP education, stock exam rooms and hospital, know common medications and fill prescriptions, and administer intravenous injections and place intravenous catheters.

Requirements include 2+ years of experience as a veterinary technician, proficiency in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.), ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
