Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist PRN is responsible for planning, organizing, and providing professional services in restorative, functional, and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. This role involves evaluating and treating patients to facilitate rehabilitation of the mentally, physically, or emotionally disabled person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients to modify therapy programs and goals.
  • Perform thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner, entering charges accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team, providing education to patients, family, and staff.
  • Supervise ancillary staff, students, and volunteers, advancing clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Impart knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues, adhering to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must possess excellent social relation skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate aptitude in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.
  • Exhibits proven face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team, assuring delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Possesses proficient computer knowledge, operating multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Qualifications
  • EDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience.
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
