POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cannabis Retail Operations Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Dispensary Manager to guide and inspire the team. This role is pivotal in exemplifying exceptional service, commitment, and enthusiasm. Key responsibilities include managing product deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, restocking shelves, and ensuring adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices. The Supervisor is expected to mentor and uplift team members, fostering a positive and proactive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to established protocols for sales and customer service to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and strains available in-store, sharing insights with team members.
  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring a diverse product assortment and communicating inventory needs to the Store Manager.
  • Assist Patient Care Specialists in guiding patients towards informed product choices based on their unique needs.
  • Effectively delegate tasks during shifts, including:
    • Accurate cash handling and discount application.
    • Verification of necessary documentation and identification for patients.
    • Implementation of security measures and compliance with safety regulations.
    • Ensuring a clean and organized store environment.
    • Facilitating open communication with management and team members.
    • Documenting daily updates and managing opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure smooth and compliant retail operations.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of new Customer Care Specialists alongside the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience or educational background in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in dispensary, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service roles.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with web browsers and retail POS systems.
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and mathematical skills.
  • Comfortable with cash handling and basic arithmetic operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequent sitting and standing required.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
