Position Overview

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the installation and upkeep of electronic security systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. Your role will involve performing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, and managing inventory.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams on moderately complex installation projects.
  • Conduct and document daily safety briefings.
  • Install head-end equipment according to design specifications at both local and global levels.
  • Program head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate issues in systems and hardware at various levels.
  • Provide on-site software commissioning and testing.
  • Perform thorough inspections, evaluations, and manage inventory.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Must pass a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; ability to obtain a Public Trust is essential.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • This role may involve the use of a company vehicle; candidates must have an acceptable driving record.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Electrical Apprenticeship program; or an additional three (3) years of relevant electronics installation and/or maintenance experience.
  • Experience: 8-10 years in electronics installation and/or maintenance across multiple systems, with at least 3 years focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vendor certifications in various IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Familiarity with Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, and related installation experience.
  • Experience with Lenel, Genetec, Commend, and Cisco Switch configuration.
  • SEC+ certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and carry 60 pounds for extended periods.
  • Capable of relocating a 12-foot stepladder independently.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet and maintaining balance on various types of ladders.
  • Engage in physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, and reaching overhead regularly.
  • Good vision (correctable) and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to recognize potential issues and apply general rules to specific problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize information.
