Job Summary

This position plays a critical role in the timely and accurate completion of payrolls for assigned payroll cycles. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering and maintaining records for electronic funds transfer data and serving as a backup for the Director, Payroll & Benefit Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Enter and maintain records for electronic funds transfer data, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Provide backup support for the Director, Payroll & Benefit Services, as needed.
  • Perform mathematical and analytical tasks, including data review, categorization, and prioritization.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate a high level of discretion.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from a nationally accredited institution of higher education.
  • Four years of wage-earning experience, with two years of payroll/accounting experience required.
  • Prefer experience with Ellucian (Colleague) and strong knowledge of automated payroll systems and data entry.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, and Friday, 7:30am to 11:30am. The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime on short notice when required.
